Google Pixel 6a appears in an unboxing video ahead of its release Posted: 04 Jun 2022 07:00 AM PDT The Google Pixel 6a unveiled last month isn't hitting the shelves before July 28. But that didn't stop the smartphone from starring in an unboxing video uploaded on TikTok by user anjangz. We are looking at the Charcoal version here, which is kept screen-side down in the package, with the display covered by a protective white sheet having labels for the controls, ports, and in-display fingerprint scanner. The package also includes a USB-C cable and a USB-C adapter with a prominent "Google Tensor'' branding joined by a graphical chip illustration. Looks like Google really wants people to... |
Xiaomi Poco C40 launching on June 16 Posted: 04 Jun 2022 05:00 AM PDT An official-looking banner for the online launch of a new Poco C40 phone has recently surfaced online. According to it, the new model will be unveiled on June 16. The Poco C40 hasn't really popped up in that many rumors yet, but it has one major leak to its name that suggests it might be a rebranded Xiaomi Redmi 10C (Global), which is, in turn, shares most of its specs with the Redmi 10 (India). You can see a comparison of the trio here. Despite looking the same on the outside, there are slight differences between the phones, and as far as we currently think, the Poco C40 should... |
Oppo Reno8 Lite goes official in Europe as a rebranded Reno7 Lite Posted: 04 Jun 2022 02:00 AM PDT Oppo might just be on a mission to totally confuse buyers and media alike. An Oppo Reno8 Lite 5G was recently launched in Spain. And just like the rumors foretold, it is a rebranded Oppo Reno7 Lite 5G, which in turn is identical to the Oppo F21 Pro 5G for India. None of these have much to do with the main Reno8 trio. You can check out the comparison of all three here. An in-depth review of the Reno7 Lite 5G is also currently under way, so you can look forward to that. In the meantime, the European Reno8 Lite 5G is rocking a 6.43-inch, FullHD+, 60Hz AMOLED display with a punch hole... |
Oppo K10 5G launching in India on June 8 with different design and specs Posted: 03 Jun 2022 11:45 PM PDT Oppo launched the Snapdragon 680-powered K10 in India in March, and now it's set to introduce the 5G version of the smartphone in the country next week - on June 8. However, the Oppo K10 5G launching in India next Wednesday is different from the one announced in China in April. The Indian model has a flat design and sports a display with a notch instead of a punch hole. The smartphone also has two LED flash modules inside the rectangular camera island on the rear, which houses two cameras instead of three like the Chinese K10 5G. Oppo hasn't detailed the Indian K10 5G's specs sheet... |

This week, the legislation passed the NY State Senate overwhelmingly in favor 59 to 4 and passed the Assembly 145 to 1. "The bill is the most expansive consumer rights legislation to pass in the United States in recent memory", as per Vice. The new law called the Digital Fair Repair Act applies to all consumer electronics' companies and will require these companies to sell repair parts, tools, and provide repair documentation under "fair and reasonable terms". Some companies like Apple... |
T-Mobile announces Voice Over 5G (VoNR) and the Galaxy S21 is compatible Posted: 03 Jun 2022 12:49 PM PDT T-Mobile has just announced and launched the capability to make and receive phone calls over 5G. Voice over 5G (VoNR or Voice Over New Radio) is now live in limited T-Mobile service areas of Portland, Oregon and Salt Lake City, Utah with plans to expand to more areas throughout the US this year.
