TENAA lists a mystery Realme with a curved display, could be the GT Neo Posted: 13 Mar 2021 06:00 AM PST Following a long string of leaks, the Realme GT was finally announced last week. It didn't take long for news of a potential Realme GT Neo on the horizon to creep-up after that. The phone was even teased by Realme VP Xu Qi, so we know it is happening at some point, allegedly rocking MediaTek's Dimensity 1200 flagship chipset. RMX3116 TENAA listing A new TENAA listing details an unannounced Realme RMX3116 that could very well be the GT Neo. Probably the most interesting detail revealed by the certification authority's photos is a curved panel. As per the attached specs - a... |

OnePlus Watch is arriving on March 23 Posted: 13 Mar 2021 12:45 AM PST We've been hearing about OnePlus' first smartwatch for years now. It was expected to arrive alongside the 8T last year, and while that didn't happen, OnePlus CEO Mr. Pete Lau in December said the company will launch its first smartwatch in early 2021. Now we know the OnePlus Watch (not an official name) is coming on March 23 alongside the OnePlus 9 series. OnePlus shared a short video clip on Twitter that includes comments from people asking about its smartwatch. The caption of the tweet reads, "You asked for it. You're getting it", confirming the smartwatch is coming soon. OnePlus doesn't... |
Android aims at Wear OS update for Spring, custom tiles announced Posted: 12 Mar 2021 10:13 PM PST Over at Google's Android Developers Blog, Android Developer Relations Engineer announces the Jetpack Tiles library for Wear OS. This means that developers can start creating tiles for third-party apps on the wearables platform. Tiles are widget screens that can be accessed when you swipe to the right of the watch face screen. Here, you can glance at the weather forecast, health stats, or take your heart rate. Up until now, the only Tiles users could add were either made by Google or the watch's OEM. OnePlus 8T gets its first Open Beta build Posted: 12 Mar 2021 07:39 PM PST The OnePlus 8T is now the happy owner of its very own first Open Beta build released by OnePlus. This is still based on Android 11, by the way, so it's no early access to Android 12 or anything like that. The build is meant to go out to willing beta testers before receiving a wide release to everyone with a OnePlus 8T. Obviously since it's beta you shouldn't expect it to be perfect, bugs could make their presence felt. If you want to jump into Open Beta land for your OnePlus 8T, make sure you head to the Source linked below for the full instructions. Keep in mind that going from a... |
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G's price in Europe might have been outed Posted: 12 Mar 2021 05:18 PM PST Of the undoubtedly expansive Mi 11 family, Xiaomi has so far only unveiled one device - the Mi 11 itself. That is likely to change very soon, as we've been hearing a lot about the Mi 11 Lite 5G lately, as well as the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra. We're going to ignore the top of the line models and talk about the most affordable entry in the lineup. A European retailer has listed the Mi 11 Lite 5G in Truffle Black with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for €408.18. Obviously we can't be sure this isn't just a speculative listing, but bear with us here for some wild speculation. The... |

Motorola Moto G30 in for review Posted: 12 Mar 2021 11:19 AM PST The Motorola Moto G30 has arrived at our office, and we are preparing to put it through our review gauntlet to find out if it's worth your money. The retail box of the Moto G30 includes the usual paperwork, silicone case, and a 20W charger. The Moto G30 has a Snapdragon 662 SoC under the hood and boots near-stock Android 11 out of the box. The smartphone comes in three memory configurations - 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128GB. And if that much storage isn't enough, you have the option to further expand it up to 1TB via microSD card. The Snapdragon 662-powered smartphone is built... |
Xiaomi teases king phone, gaming one incoming Posted: 12 Mar 2021 09:55 AM PST Xiaomi VP Lu Weibing went on Weibo to promote two upcoming phones by Xiaomi. One is the "machine king" (translated) and the other is a "e-sports game phone". Weibing says if people want those devices they should "wait a little bit", not specifying how much exactly. If we're to guess we'd say the devices in question are the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and the Black Shark 4, both of which are expected later this year. Both will offer Snapdragon 888 chipsets with the Ultra focusing on imaging with a periscope zoom camera (either 5x or 10x) and the gaming phone possibly bringing a refresh rate... |
