Apple takes another lens supplier on board for its iPhone 13 lineup Posted: 04 Feb 2021 07:18 AM PST While there won't be any significant camera upgrades to this year's iPhones, according to Ming-Chi Kuo (though other analysts disagree), Apple is trying to secure another lens supplier for its upcoming iPhone 13 lineup. Sunny Optical will most likely join Largan, Yujingguang and Kantatsu, which in turn supply the lenses to LG Innotek for assembly. Sunny Optical will be appointed to the 7P main lens. And by "party" we mean discounts on Poco phones – check out the sale over at Flipkart (it will run from today until Sunday). Bloomberg reports that Andy Jassy, who is poised to take over the CEO position from Jeff Bezos, has pledged support for Amazon Game Studios. OneDrive one-ups Google Photos with Samsung Motion Photo and 8K video support Posted: 04 Feb 2021 02:31 AM PST Microsoft just updated OneDrive adding playback support for Samsung Motion Photo and 8K video from the Galaxy S20, S21 and Note20 series. Up until now OneDrive could store the files, but not play them back. In the case of Samsung's Motion Photo, which adds a couple of seconds of video and sound to a still shot, OneDrive will only show the still image. OneDrive now supports up to 250GB files, which works nicely for those large 8K videos. As the name suggests it comes pretty close to the existing vivo S7, but has a different chipset. The new handset is powered by a Dimensity 820 chip by Mediatek instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G while keeping the 6.44" AMOLED screen, 64MP main camera and 4,000mAh battery with33W fast-charging. Reports from users in India say that the rollout has already begun in their region. The build number is 12.1.1.0 RJDINXM and the patch itself is 2.8GB big. The OTA update also brings the January 2021 security patch.
