Analyst: the Galaxy Note20 and Note20+ will have 120Hz screens, there will be no Ultra

Posted: 11 May 2020 09:08 AM PDT

When Ross Young, Founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, isn't tweeting details about the Galaxy Fold 2, he passes the time by leaking info on Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note20 series. Let's rip off the band-aid first, there will be no Note20 Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy Note20+ will be the top model. It will have a fractionally larger display than its predecessor, 6.87", with essentially the same pixel density (1440p+ resolution). The 120Hz refresh rate will be the major addition this year, made power efficient with the use of a variable refresh rate (it's not clear how this is...

Posted: 11 May 2020 08:12 AM PDT

The long-awaited successor to the Pocophone F1 is finally coming on May 12 as the Poco F2 Pro. Now, noted tipster Ishan Agrawal went ahead and revealed official renders of the phone's front compete with its alleged color and storage options. Maybe not Black & Grey. Only one dark colour option whose official name would contain either Black or Grey. Grey more likely.— Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) May 11, 2020 According to the new leak, the F2 Pro will feature a full-screen design just like the Redmi K30 Pro which was already known and will also be available in grey, blue, purple and...

iPhone 12 leak: CAD-based renders show design, 120Hz screens and 3x zoom camera tipped

Posted: 11 May 2020 07:19 AM PDT

New CAD schematics for the upcoming iPhone 12 series have leaked, allowing the team at EverythingApplePro to create accurate 3D renders. They show that the new iOS flagships will have an iPad Pro-like design with squared off sides. One thing that was present in earlier leaks was a Smart Connector (like the iPads have). This has been removed in the latest version, but people in the know say that Apple is keeping it as an option for future "port-less" iPhones. Also, the revised dimensions of the 5.4" iPhone 12 show that the phone will be smaller than expected. It should be fairly...

Huawei P40 lite 5G is the European version of the nova 7 SE

Posted: 11 May 2020 06:28 AM PDT

The Huawei P40 lite 5G will soon join the P40 family. It's actually a rebadged nova 7 SE, but the more important bit is that it will be available in Europe (while the nova phones usually aren't). How does it stack up against the Huawei P40 lite (itself a renamed nova 6 SE)? The 5G model is powered by the Kirin 820 5G chipset, which has twice as many big Cortex-A76 cores and a beefier GPU (based on Mali-G57 instead of G52). Also, the main camera has a 64MP sensor (up from 48MP) and even better, it can shoot 4K video. The rest is fairly similar with small differences, e.g. a 6.5" screen...

Posted: 10 May 2020 09:08 AM PDT

The upcoming Poco F2 Pro is the new leader as its teaser campaign began and it's clearly working well. It pushed last week's leaders Redmi Note 9 Pro and Apple iPhone SE (2020) down a spot. In fourth and fifth we have two Redmi phones on the rise - the Note 9S ahead of the Note 8 Pro. They are followed by the Samsung Galaxy A51 and the Redmi Note 8, which also gained a position a piece. In eight we have the upcoming Huawei P30 Pro New...
