Motorola fan page posts unreleased Moto phone with pop-up selfie camera Posted: 04 Oct 2019 09:00 PM PDT Yesterday, several photos of an unreleased Motorola smartphone have been posted to a Motorola Latin America community page on Facebook. The most intriguing part of the phone is a mechanical pop-up selfie camera - which Motorola has yet to include on any of its smartphones. Leaked images We get a few images of the phone and they appear to be of a Motorola prototype given the confidential markings on the lower bezel. The phone has a full display with nearly no bezels, save for the slightly larger lower one. Around back there is also an illuminated Moto batwing logo - a nice touch... |

Watch the Asus ROG Phone II torture test Posted: 04 Oct 2019 01:39 PM PDT Zack is right back at it again with another durability video and this time the Asus ROG Phone II is under the sportlight. An expensive and pretty phone that we all want to see being tortured. Or not? The handset goes through the usual scratch tests and bend tests. As expected, the Gorilla Glass 6 front and back panel withstand scratches up to 5 on Mohs scale. Anything above 6 will scratch your screen and back. The side frame is indeed metal and more importantly, it passed the bending test but not without damage. Despite being so thick and solid, the ROG Phone II did visibly bend... |

Google finds security flaw in Pixel, Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi phones Posted: 04 Oct 2019 10:45 AM PDT Google researchers found a serious security flaw on a number of Android devices and oddly, the issue was supposed to be patched back in December 2017. The phones in question are the Pixel, Pixel 2, Huawei P20, Samsung Galaxy S7, S8 and S9. Xiaomi Redmi 5A, Redmi Note 5, Xiaomi A1, Oppo A3 and Moto Z3 are also on the list and require additional patching. Google says it found the flaw seven days ago but it's not as serious as it sounds because it requires a malicious software to be installed with the user's permission. It's strange that patch that was pushed back in December 2017 wasn't... |
