The original Motorola Razr foldable Not just that, but the Razr 3 has also long been rumored to be a proper high-end... |
vivo is working on the X80 Lite which may launch alongside the X80 Pro+ in October Posted: 16 Jun 2022 04:49 PM PDT We recently heard that vivo is planning to launch the X80 Pro+ globally in October, but that may not be the only device coming around then. Today the folks at Rootmygalaxy have discovered that the Chinese company has started firmware development for the vivo X80 Lite 5G with the model number V2208. Since there is no other info about it yet, it's likely still rather early in its development cycle, hence why the October launch makes sense. It would of course become the cheapest member of the X80 family, and it's interesting to see vivo going the Lite route - so far it's been much less... |

The market fell 12% compared to the first three months of last year. With only 49 million smartphones shipped, this was the worst Q1 since 2013. Only one of the Top 5 brands experienced growth – Realme doubled its market share. Samsung remains the top smartphone maker on the Old Continent. Sony Xperia 1 IV disassembled on video, compared to the Mark 3 Posted: 16 Jun 2022 03:27 AM PDT One of the things that set the Sony Xperia 1 IV from its predecessor is that the periscope module offers continuous zoom in the 85-125mm range (3.5x to 5.2x magnification). Impressively, the new module is only slightly larger than the one in the Mark 3, which could only toggle between 70mm and 105mm. A cheaper Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 4G is coming with the Snapdragon 720G at the helm Posted: 15 Jun 2022 06:56 PM PDT Back in 2020, Samsung released its first ever Fan Edition smartphone, the Galaxy S20 FE. And it came in two versions: a 4G one with the company's own Exynos 990 SoC, and a 5G variant with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865. Fast forward to this January, and the Galaxy S21 FE finally arrives, but in one iteration only, with the 5G capable Snapdragon 888 at the helm. We assumed that there wouldn't be a 4G-only version of the S21 FE, since 5G networks are ever more prevalent throughout the world these days, and even mid-rangers now pretty much all have 5G support as standard. But Samsung wants to... |
There won't be a Samsung Galaxy S22 FE, rumor says Posted: 15 Jun 2022 03:59 PM PDT Samsung's line of Fan Edition (FE) phones got its start with the Galaxy S20 FE, and then we saw the Galaxy S21 FE. Logically, you'd expect there to be a Galaxy S22 FE coming in the future, but according to a new rumor from "multiple sources" Samsung in fact won't release the S22 FE. So it looks like the company might be ready to shelve its FE smartphones after just two years. This may not be well received by fans who wanted a more affordable option with a flagship chipset from the Korean company, and weren't willing to spend as much as the normal S series flagships now cost. Samsung... |
