Weekly poll: Sony Xperia 1 III is finally up for pre-order but is it too late? Posted: 11 Jul 2021 07:43 AM PDT We already polled you about Sony's Xperia Mark III series back when it was first announced, but it has been a couple of months since. We wanted to give the Xperia 1 III another shot, especially since our review went up earlier this week and now we know exactly what the phone has to offer. You can also watch our 10 minute video review to get up to speed. On paper, the phone offers some unique features like a 4K 120Hz OLED display and a telephoto camera with two focal lengths. Weekly poll results: Tecno's new Phantom X gets a warm reception Posted: 10 Jul 2021 09:42 PM PDT Tecno's first entry into the premium market, the Phantom X, got a vote of confidence in last week's poll. Not by a huge margin, but more people are interested in what the phone has to offer than the ones saying an outright "no". The phone didn't escape criticism, though. Better image processing can go a long way towards improving the phone's standing in the camera-focused segment of the market. Some laid the blame at the feet of the Helio G95 chipset – a Dimensity chipset would have been a better option as those come with more advanced ISPs and higher overall performance to boot. The... |

Posted: 10 Jul 2021 06:21 PM PDT Introduction and unboxing When Sony announced the Xperia Pro it made sure the focus was on who this device is for - professionals in the field. Sony doesn't even want to refer to the Xperia Pro as a phone, but as a tool, as evidenced by sentences like "Learn More about XQAQ62/B" on the official website. But before we get into the technical details, let's lay down some context. The Sony Xperia Pro costs $2,500... |
