The event was supposed to introduce the Zenfone 8 series and bring several gaming laptops. This change in plans seems to affect only India as the page dedicated to the global Zenfone 8 launch is still counting down (with a little over a day left on the clock). According to schematics obtained by MacRumors, all iPhone 13 models will measure at 7.55mm in thickness compared to 7.4mm on the current 12 series. The resulting 0.15mm change is visualized below though you'd be hard-pressed to actually see it in real life. The cause is that over 100 employees at the Foxconn-operated facility have tested positive for COVID-19. There are dormitories on site where employees can stay, they are the ones keeping production running. Employees are allowed to leave, but as a precaution no one is allowed to get in.
