Video offers 360° view of the Samsung Galaxy M12 Posted: 18 Nov 2020 07:55 AM PST The Samsung Galaxy M12 will perhaps offer the most battery capacity per dollar when it comes out early next year. The phone is said to have a 7,000 mAh battery, same as the M51, and will be an entry-level model in Samsung's affordable M-series. OnLeaks published renders of the upcoming phone, showing design very similar to the already official Galaxy A42 5G. Now the leakster has created a short video showing the M12 from various angles (and how the two-texture back reflects light at different angles). The Galaxy M12 will measure 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm, a fraction narrower and... |
vivo details OriginOS: highly interactive widgets, new gestures, memory optimizations Posted: 18 Nov 2020 07:06 AM PST vivo detailed OriginOS today, the replacement of FuntouchOS. The new platform focuses on a re-imagined widget system, advanced gestures, memory optimizations and a healthy dose of visual flair. Let's start with the widgets. They are inspired by the Huarong Road, a type of sliding puzzle with different piece sizes. The homescreen can be easily rearranged even if there are multiple widgets of mismatched sizes (in fact, this is the preferred way to lay out your OriginOS homescreen). In their simplest form, widgets change their look to convey information – a sun or a rainy... |
Huawei refutes rumors on splitting up with Leica Posted: 18 Nov 2020 06:15 AM PST Earlier today a leakster Digital Chat Station claimed that Huawei and Leica's cooperation has come to an end. However, a Huawei spokesperson was quick to say this is "absolutely fake news", while Leica reps said they "have no information about the termination of the relationship". The leakster usually provides inside information about unreleased devices but it looks like he was fed some misleading news. He also claimed that other local companies have already approached the brand for cooperation. Leica has been providing camera know-how to Huawei since 2016. The smartphone company... |

Under this new program, smaller developers will be eligible for a reduction in the App Store fees. Developers who made less than $1 million dollars in earnings in the previous calendar year can participate. Going forward those will take a 15% pay cut of their total revenue as commission to Apple instead of the usual 30% that they had to pay previously. If at any point this developer crosses the $1 million mark in earnings, then they will automatically be switched to the standard 30% fee. However, if they fall back below... |

The Sony Xperia 10 III will have a Snapdragon 690 chipset, Sony's first 5G mid-ranger Posted: 18 Nov 2020 03:47 AM PST With its first two 5G phones out of the gate, both of them flagships, Sony is preparing to bring its mid-range lineup into the 5G era. It is working on a phone that will be powered by the Snapdragon 690 chipset and it's an easy guess that this will be the Sony Xperia 10 III. The company allegedly canceled the Xperia 10 II Plus, which was going to be powered by a Snapdragon 720, so that it can shift its focus on 5G. And if that's the reason we didn't get a Plus model this year, things bode well for an Xperia 10 III Plus for 2021 (though there's no evidence of that yet). What evidence... |
Apple MagSafe Duo charger is slower than the regular MagSafe Posted: 18 Nov 2020 02:59 AM PST Apple introduced its MagSafe compatible accessories back in October and one of the more impressive gadgets was the MagSafe duo charger that can fill the batteries of an iPhone and an Apple Watch simultaneously. Now the company finally listed the accessory on its website giving us a few more details. The news aren't great though - its charging speeds only reach 14W though, which is lower than the single MagSafe 15W charger. The bad news do not stop here - the $129 accessory ships with no power brick - there's only USB-C to Lightning cable in the box. You have to purchase the 20W... |
