MIUI 12 based on Android 11 hits Redmi K30 Pro Zoom

The Chinese version of the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom has started receiving an OTA update containing not only MIUI 12 but also Android 11 too. This could mean that a global rollout of the software is just around the corner. The software version is V12.1.3.0.RJKCNXM stable and weighs 3.3 GB. Qualcomm confirms that it can now supply Huawei with chips

Earlier this week, news broke that Qualcomm has finally been granted a license to supply Huawei with some products. It was just a report from China, however, and no actual evidence to back these claims. Until now, of course. In a public statement, Qualcomm has confirmed the rumors and some of the products are 4G-enabled. This is in line with an earlier report saying Qualcomm not being able to deliver 5G chips to the Chinese tech giant for now. There's no word on when Qualcomm will be able to export its 5G chips to Huawei but the latter has repeatedly stated that it's willing to work...

MediaTek MT6893's single-core performance higher than Dimensity 1000+

MediaTek's rumored MT6893 chipset that's been doing rounds these past few days in the media shapes up to be quite the performer. The latest report comes once again from the famous Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station and claims that the SoC is faster than MediaTek's current top-end Dimensity 1000+ chipset. At least that's what the single-core score suggests from the Geekbench listing. The tipster also adds that the main Cortex-A78 core is clocked at 2.8 GHz, but that might change before launch, or there will be two separate versions.
