Samsung Wireless Charger Trio and 20,000mAh PD power bank now available in South Korea Posted: 26 Sep 2020 06:35 AM PDT Samsung's got a wide range of original accessories for its smartphones, and a couple of important ones have gone on sale in the company's home country of South Korea. We're talking about the Wireless Charger Trio and the PD Battery Pack 20,000mAh. The first one, carrying model name EP-P6300 (or, as they go in Korea, EP-P6300TWEGKR in white or EP-P6300TBEGKR in black), is a wireless charger with six coils, which you can use to charge three of your compatible devices simultaneously - hence the Trio. It measures 240x86x15.5mm, weighs 320g and comes with a 25W adapter and a 1m cable... |
Google Pixel 5 prototype's leaked image reveals weird design Posted: 26 Sep 2020 04:40 AM PDT Google introduced the Pixel 4a last month and is rumored to launch the Pixel 5 on October 15, with the 4a 5G said to arrive in November. Thanks to the leaked renders and specs sheets, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect from both smartphones. The Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 look similar, but an image of what's allegedly a prototype of the Pixel 5 has surfaced, which reveals Google's team once considered a weird and strange design for the smartphone. The prototype has a two-tone design reminiscent of the first-gen Pixel's from 2016, except that it's the bottom portion that's made of... |
Oppo A33 (2020) bags NBTC certification Posted: 26 Sep 2020 01:50 AM PDT Oppo introduced the A33 back in November 2015, and now the company is preparing to give it a refresh, as the new A33, sporting model code CPH2137, has been certified by Thailand's NBTC. It has also bagged certifications from Indonesia's TKDN and India's BIS. The new Oppo A33 is a mystery right now since we don't know its specs yet, but one thing's certain - 5 years later, it'll be much better than the devices whose name it reuses. The OG A33 was powered by the Snapdragon 410 SoC and packed a 5" LCD of 960x540 pixel resolution. Back in those days, it was okay that it had just two... |

Now it's AT&T's Galaxy Tab S4 that's receiving the Android 10 update. The new build comes with version number QP1A.190711.020.T837AUCU4CTH5 and bumps up the Android security patch level on the Tab S4 to August 1, 2020. On Friday, we heard from both @Jon_Prosser and @evleaks that Google might price the Pixel 5 at $699 in the US and even more for Canada. A new claim from Prosser suggests that Google won't have the Pixel 5 available until October 15 and that the Pixel 4a 5G might not be available until November. Deal: save $100 on the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro Posted: 25 Sep 2020 03:11 PM PDT Like Apple, OnePlus really dislikes price cuts on its products more than most companies, but they do still happen from time to time if you're lucky enough to be there for them. Case in point: right now, you can grab the OnePlus 8 or OnePlus 8 Pro for $100 off. The OnePlus 8T will be announced on October 14, and this sale's timing is suspiciously close to that, so we're gonna go ahead and assume there's a connection. There's also a catch. Neither the OnePlus 8 nor the OnePlus 8 Pro is available currently in its base configuration (with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage). So you're... |
Posted: 25 Sep 2020 12:11 PM PDT LG is trying some exciting design in its attempt to regain the lost ground in the smartphone battle. Instead of always running behind other competitors and their slabs, the Korean company decided to run its lane and re-invent the idea of how one should use a smartphone. That's how the LG Wing came to life - a phone with a 90-degree swiveling screen that reveals a secondary display underneath. We took the phone for a quick test drive before handing it out to the review team for the thorough test process to give out the final verdict. We were lucky enough to get the Illusion Sky color... |
Realme announces world's first SLED smart TV, more details to follow soon Posted: 25 Sep 2020 10:41 AM PDT Today Realme announced the world's first SLED 4K smart TV. Or rather it offered a peek at the new technology. The TV is not ready to go on sale yet, but it will present an interesting alternative to Quantum Dot based displays (QLED). The SLED technology will debut on a 55" TV. The new type of panel will deliver 108% coverage of the NTSC color spectrum, but will keep the amount of blue light under control, something that TÃœV Rheinland has attested. What is SLED, anyway? It's a new take on the LCD formula, the main innovation concerning the backlight. Typically, the backlight is... |
OnePlus brings the Android 11 version of Zen Mode to its phones still on Android 10 Posted: 25 Sep 2020 09:34 AM PDT OnePlus introduced Zen Mode with the 7-series and has been gradually improving it since. The biggest new feature is that you can now create a virtual room and invite friends you in a focus challenge. Anyway, the new version of the app also lets you set different themes to help your meditation experience. Also, you can record "Zen moments" throughout the day and review them later. Change log • Creating a room Note that these changes to the app is part of OnePlus' work on the Android 11 update for its phones, but you can experience it early while still running Android 10.
