| Snapdragon 865+ unveiled with 10% CPU and GPU boost, Wi-Fi 6E support Posted: 08 Jul 2020 06:31 AM PDT Qualcomm has just unveiled the first mobile chipset to surpass the 3GHz CPU clock speed ceiling. Last year the S855+ found inside the Asus ROG Phone II and other phones came very close – 2.96 GHz. This year the Snapdragon 865+ pushes its Prime CPU core up to 3.1 GHz, a 10% increase compared to the 2.84 GHz frequency of the vanilla SD865 chip. It's still a Kryo 585 core as are the other three "big" cores (those run at the unchanged 2.42 GHz). Like the non-plus version, the S865+ supports 144 Hz displays. However, it has a 10% better chance of hitting the required game framerates to make... |

RedmiBook 16 The new version of the RedmiBook 16 offers a choice between the Core i5-1035G1 and i7-1065G7. It also has double the GPU computing units, but that doesn't matter as much as there is an Nvidia MX350 GPU with 2 GB of GDDR5 RAM. Regardless of CPU... |

These are probably the company's best selling devices, in that order, so it makes sense that it would take care of them on the software front. And taking care of them it is. Samsung is pushing features like Single take, My filters, and Night hyperlapse to these two handsets, features previously spotted on flagships. Of course the cameras on the A51 and A71 are nowhere near flagship level, but some people may find these new features useful even so. You also get Quick Share and... |

Speaking of the latter, it's just started to push out the update to Android 10 (Go Edition) to the Nokia 1 from 2018. The Nokia 1 launched with Android Oreo (Go Edition), the stripped-down version of the OS meant to run on incredibly affordable hardware. And now it's receiving the latest iteration of the OS, once again... |

| Our Samsung Galaxy A51 5G video review is out Posted: 07 Jul 2020 10:31 AM PDT We reviewed the Galaxy A51 earlier this year, but there's more to its 5G than a added support for NR networks. The written review of the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G is already complete and now Will is ready to guide you through the pros and cons on video. The phone comes with an Exynos 980 chipset, the midrange 5G platform by Samsung, and that comes with better performance than the Exynos 9611-powered LTE version of the Galaxy A51. It also has improved build to go with the extra antennas, which adds to a slightly more premium feel. Will remained unimpressed with the price tag of the... |

You can also see the included wireless... |
| OnePlus Nord listed on Romanian retailer with price and specs Posted: 07 Jul 2020 08:29 AM PDT A retailer in Romania has already listed the OnePlus Nord and it put a RON 2,300 price tag on it. That's €475 or INR 40,000, though we suspect the euro conversion is more accurate than the rupee one – OnePlus phones in India sell for less than they do in Europe (India and Europe will be the two launch markets for the Nord). This also works out to $535, which is higher than the promised price of "under $500". But there's no point in getting into details since the store clearly used a render for the phone image – just check out the centered selfie camera, the actual phone has a dual selfie... |
