| OnePlus confirms its upcoming TV series will have three models, pricing teased Posted: 27 Jun 2020 08:10 AM PDT  OnePlus entered the smart TV segment last September with its Q1 series which includes two models - Q1 and Q1 Pro. These TVs are a bit on the higher end of the price spectrum but the company is set to bring more affordable TVs on July 2. OnePlus has confirmed a few features of its new TV series and today the company revealed the lineup will include three models. OnePlus didn't reveal the screen sizes of these models but earlier this month two TVs with a diagonal of 32" and 43" got certified, and we assume the third one might pack a 55" screen - the same size as the Q1 series. The second major OS update for the phone that launched on Android 8.1 Oreo was promised at the start of the year. The P20 Pro and the Mate 10 from 2017 started getting the update about a month ago, and the P20 has now followed. | Samsung Galaxy M01s certified by TUV Rheinland with a 3,900 mAh battery Posted: 27 Jun 2020 04:10 AM PDT  The Galaxy M01 was unveiled earlier this month but Samsung is also working on a M01s. It has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) already and now it has bagged TUV Rheinland certification as well, which reveals the smartphone will pack a 3,900 mAh battery. The listing on TUV Rheinland's website doesn't reveal any other specs of the Galaxy M01s, but the smartphone passed through Geekbench back in May, revealing its key specs in the process - Helio P22 SoC, 3GB RAM, and surprisingly, Android Pie. | Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 gets Android 10 with One UI 2.1 in the US and Canada Posted: 27 Jun 2020 02:40 AM PDT  Samsung rolled out the Android 10 update for the Galaxy Tab S4 a few days ago that brought along One UI 2.1 to the tablet with June 1, 2020 Android security patch. The update was only rolling for the LTE version (SM-T835) in Europe but now it's seeding for the Wi-Fi version (SM-T830) as well, albeit in the US and Canada only at the time of writing this. The new update sports build number T830XXU4CTF5 and has the same changelog as the firmware for the LTE version. | Realme X3 gets a new software update with optimizations and bug fixes Posted: 27 Jun 2020 12:50 AM PDT  The Realme X3 unveiled a couple of days ago is yet to go on sale but it's already receiving its second software update, which brings a fix for phone lag and improves the system stability. Additionally, the new build optimizes the screen brightness as well as the picture quality and fixes the issue of fingerprint reader heating. The changelog also mentions June 2020 Android security patch along with Realme PaySa (India only) and Realme Link apps, but after installation of the update, we didn't find the apps on our unit. The Oppo Watch appears here with model number OW19W12. We also get a look at the Watch's charging cable and wrist strap. There is no doubt that the Oppo Watch bears striking resemblance to the Apple Watch. Heck, it even sounds a lot like "Apple Watch". Anyway, the Oppo Watch is expected to arrive to the European market sometime in the second half of this year. | DxOMark gives iPhone SE (2020) 101 overall, 84 for selfies Posted: 26 Jun 2020 07:55 PM PDT  DxOMark has just released its review of the iPhone SE's main and selfie cameras. The iPhone SE has camera hardware identical to that of the iPhone XR. It's a 12MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture, phase-detection autofocus, OIS, and up to 5X digital zoom. In today's standards, it's a very basic setup. Meanwhile, the selfie camera is a 7MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and fixed focus lens. Overall, the iPhone SE does a very good job in metering exposure and contrast. Apple's automatic HDR is to thank for that. It works well for both indoor and outdoor images, and managed to expose darks and shadows... |

The update arrives with the July 1 security patch from Google - which is quite a surprise considering Samsung is normally one of the worst when it comes to getting updates delivered on time. The update has a build number G988*KSU1ATFD and weighs in over 381MB. It brings new updates to the camera, and the changelog mentions updated image quality in digitally zoomed images, as well as improved video stabilization. | Asus ROG Phone 3 gets Bluetooth certified ahead of its July release Posted: 26 Jun 2020 02:55 PM PDT  Asus' upcoming gaming beast, the ROG Phone 3, has received its Bluetooth certification today. This is just the latest in a number of such official certifications that are required for launch - which, by the way, should happen next month. Before this, the ROG Phone 3 was also certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and EEC. It's also been spotted in benchmark databases. Some rumors claim it will arrive sporting the yet-unannounced Snapdragon 865+ chipset, but that remains to be seen. What's clear is that there will be a version with 8GB of RAM, and one with 12GB.
