The UK will allow Huawei to build the 5G infrastructure in the country after all Posted: 28 Jan 2020 08:17 AM PST The UK government came out with a final decision about foreign involvement into the development of 5G and gigabit-capable networks. The press release states that it will allow "high risk" vendors to help build the network under strict restrictions. Huawei has not been named specifically but it's evident that the UK government refers to the company as "high risk" along with ZTE. And despite the pressure US puts on its allies, UK will allow Huawei to participate in the 5G deployment albeit under certain conditions. For one, the equipment used for building the 5G network from Huawei...
Moto G8 renders leak, show triple camera with dedicated macro shooter on the back Posted: 28 Jan 2020 07:34 AM PST Both the Moto G8 Plus and G8 Play have been available for months, but the middle model is still MIA. New renders offer a look at the Moto G8, which shares a design language with the rest of the G8 family. You can just about make out the "macro" label under one of the cameras on the back. According to rumors, the G8 will have a 16MP main, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cams. The fourth circle isn't a camera but a Laser autofocus system instead. The Motorola logo on the back is almost certainly a fingerprint reader. Around the front, the Moto G8 is expected to have a 6.39" display with 720p+...
Huawei P40 phones will be cheaper than the P30 Posted: 28 Jan 2020 06:44 AM PST The Huawei P30 Pro launched at a price of 1,000 last year, the vanilla P30 started at 800. This year's prices will be lower, according to leakster @RODENT950. He expects the Huawei P40 to start at 600, which would put the P40 Pro base price at 800. There will be a third model this year, Huawei P40 Pro Premium edition, that should be 1,000 at launch. This discount is at least partially due to the lack of Google Mobile Services (GMS), the specs certainly sound cutting edge. The Premium promises 10x optical zoom, the Pro 5x and the vanilla model 3x. Using new sensors, Huawei is...

Motorola Razr delivery dates slip back to February 18 Posted: 28 Jan 2020 04:18 AM PST Motorola unveiled the new foldable screen Razr in November and after a delay it finally went on pre-order with delivery scheduled for February 6. It seems however that the demand is stronger than Motorola's supply as the shipping date has already slipped back to February 18. It's unclear how many units were pre-ordered, causing the delay, but the new date applies to both the Verizon website and Motorola's own store. The company has not issued any statements about the pre-order campaign, so we can only play the guessing game here. The price is $1,499, and it has no physical...
