OnePlus is working on a smart tag of its own Posted: 03 Jun 2021 06:01 AM PDT After Apple and Samsung released their smart tag offerings, it looks as if other OEMs want to join the party. And according to a trademark filing on May 18, OnePlus might be the next in line. It has reportedly filed for the name "OnePlusTag". Of course, this might not mean what we think it means but odds are it's about a competitor to Apple's AirTag and Samsung's SmartTag. This might also be taken as a hint that OnePlus' future devices would support Ultra Wideband (UWB) because the future smart tag won't work with current OnePlus devices. Via 1 • Via 2 |

You can now watch HBO Max for $10 a month on the ad-supported plan Posted: 03 Jun 2021 04:10 AM PDT As promised, HBO Max has rolled out its lower-tier subscription plan that will set you back $10 a month as opposed to the standard $15 plan. However, this with a couple of catches, the more notable of which is the inclusion of ads. HBO promises that the ads would be "elegant and respectful" and will feature great storytelling. In other words, they are supposed to be engaging and fun. They will be far in-between too. Beyond that the new tier offers the same TV shows and movies as the $15 plan with the exception of the same-day movie releases from Warner Bros. such as The Suicide... |
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G said to have a 90Hz 1080p Posted: 03 Jun 2021 03:07 AM PDT The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will have a 90Hz display, an IPS LCD panel whose dimensions aren't quite certain – we've heard 6.4" before, but this latest rumor claims a larger 6.6" diagonal. This could be a case of the 4G and 5G versions getting mixed up (they will differ by more than just the screen). What's more interesting is that the rumor suggests a 1080p+ resolution for the display and the Google Play Console agrees. This is unexpected as the Galaxy A32 5G has a basic 720p+ 60Hz display.
