Posted: 23 May 2021 06:51 AM PDT The Poco M3 is a hit, the company has shipped over 3.2 million units since the phone launched. Now comes a Pro version of the device – that should be even better, right? In many ways it is and the early bird price of €160 is just over the current price of the vanilla model (€150, a 4/64GB configuration in both cases). That is obviously a great price for a 5G phone, but does the Poco M3 Pro 5G hold up once you look past its modem? Compared to its 4G-only vanilla sibling, you get a higher refresh rate for the screen (90Hz), a faster chipset (Dimensity 700), newer Android version out... |

Weekly poll results: the Asus Zenfone 8 excites, Zenfone 8 Flip flops Posted: 23 May 2021 12:11 AM PDT Asus caused a buzz in the smartphone world – something it hasn't done in quite a while. The Asus Zenfone 8 in particular lit up people's excitement with its petite design and reasonable price. It was the clear favorite in last week's poll. It's not perfect, but it doesn't need to be, it just needs to be better than the other phones in its category and there just aren't many of them. Save for the iPhone 12 mini, this is the smallest 5G flagship around. Sony's Xperia 5 III and Samsung's Galaxy S21 come close, but they are still bigger. And pricier. Though they do have telephoto cameras... |

Among the devices that will support this feature include iPhone and iPad models that are running the upcoming iOS 14.6 update as well as Macs running the upcoming macOS 11.4 update. On these devices, users can playback lossless audio at up to 24-bit, 48kHz but higher resolution files will require an external DAC. Starting at $749/€749/£649 for the 8/128GB trim and moving up to $849/€849/£739 for the 12/256GB top offer, the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra 5G is rather aggressively priced and it seemingly cut no corners getting there. You get a potent 66W charger inside the box as well as a USB cable, earbuds, a USB-C to 3.5mm dongle and a thin case that leaves the phone's flat sides exposed. The design of the Axon 30 Ultra 5G stands out immediately. Sharp lines... |
