S Voice was shut down on June 1 of this year and its friend S Translator will meet the same fate on December 1. Samsung sent out notifications to users that the service will be discontinued. The company suggests that you can use Bixby when you need something translated. The oft-maligned digital assistant previously also took over S Voice. Of course, you can use any of the several... |

Qualcomm, on the other hand, is still lobbying for a trade license to be allowed to work with Huawei. The report claims that right before September, Huawei was able to secure a big stock of Dimensity chipsets from MediaTek, as evidenced by the chip manufacturer's quarterly results. The revenue and net profit are both up year-over-year almost 45% and 94%, respectively. MediaTek... |
Samsung Galaxy Note20 sales in October fail to impress Posted: 03 Nov 2020 04:12 AM PST Samsung has not been doing very well with the sales of its Galaxy Note20 series, reports from South Korea reveal. The Korean source reveals the number is both for the regular Galaxy Note20 and the Galaxy Note20 Ultra. It's speculated that the poor performance of the cheaper model is taking the overall number down. Samsung managed to report a 50% yearly increase in operating profit for Q3 2020 but given the... |

Google Pixel 5's SD765G chipset is a serious underperformer Posted: 02 Nov 2020 10:33 AM PST Google's flagships have usually had a tad less performance than their direct rivals, with the first-gen using a down-clocked Snapdragon 821, while the Pixel 4 generation missed on the plus version of the Snapdragon 855 and used the original version. This year the Pixel 5 took things further by going for the mid-range Snapdragon 765G, and it turns out that's not even the entire story. It turns out that the chipset actually doesn't deliver nearly as much processing power as its 765 peers. During our review, we actually requested another Google Pixel 5 phone as we suspected the first... |

At least that's what we assume the machine translation wanted to tell. The other possibility is that it that Origin OS is a completely different OS built from scratch and it would offer fast switch to Android OS but that seems highly unlikely. The first possibility seems to be in line, however,... |
