The new 2.5x telephoto camera on iPhone 12 Pro Max still not used in the dark Posted: 12 Nov 2020 06:41 AM PST This year Apple made Night Mode available for the selfie and ultrawide cameras on the new iPhone 12 series - up until now it was only available for the main camera. But Apple also announced a new longer 2.5x telephoto camera on the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which many expected would be able to shoot Night Mode shots, despite Apple's deliberate silence on the matter. Well, it doesn't. Just like the iPhone 11 Pro series and the iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12 Pro Max prefers to digitally zoom to 2.5x from its main camera, than use its true 2.5x imager in the dark. This isn't new. In our... |

While we are yet to hear any rumors about that phone, a device with the model number PDSM00 appeared on Geekbench and it sure looks like a Pro version of the Reno5 - Dimensity 1000+ chipset, 8GB RAM, Android 11. The single-core result of 2,392 and the multi-core score of 5,836 are nothing extraordinary (mind these are from the older Geekbench 4.1 so not comparable with the more recently used GeekBench 5 CPU). OnePlus’ newest Nord phones won’t be updated past Android 11 Posted: 11 Nov 2020 04:48 PM PST The new OnePlus Nord phones, the N10 5G and the N100, are questionable choices by the company. It's not to say they are terrible phones, but they aren't exactly the stand-out devices that OnePlus has been pumping out over the last couple of years. The latest development on these devices is OnePlus has confirmed to Android Central that the N10 and N100 will only be upgraded through Android 11. These two Nord devices come with Android 10 out of the box, so it was assumed that OnePlus – with its excellent history record of updating devices – would eventually push an update to Android 11. As... |
