Weekly poll: Xiaomi's Mi 10T series make 5G affordable, but are they worth it? Posted: 11 Oct 2020 06:33 AM PDT The Xiaomi Mi 10T and 10T Pro are not the cheapest Snapdragon 865 phones, but they are on the more affordable end of the spectrum. And once you add the 144 Hz displays, there really is little competition unless you're shopping in China. The Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro brings a 108MP camera with OIS while its sibling has a 64MP sensor sans OIS. Other than that, they share the same screens, chipsets, stereo speakers, 5,000 mAh batteries with 33W fast charging. Let's focus on the screen as that's a key selling point. Both the Xiaomi Mi 10T and the Pro use flat LCDs with an adaptive refresh rate... |

Weekly poll results: the Pixel 5 faces an uphill battle, the Pixel 4a 5G headed for disappointment Posted: 10 Oct 2020 09:47 PM PDT Last week's poll shows that there is not much enthusiasm for the two latest Google phones. The reasons why are pretty varied, though some did find things to love about the new models. First, let's get this out of the way – Google's limited distribution network means that even if you want one, Pixels just might not be available in your country. This has been the case for years and Google has shown little desire to fix the situation. The most popular option in the poll suggests that the 2020 Pixels are not worth your money. The most common reason is just that – money. The Pixel 5 is... |
Unannounced Oppo A53s listed on Amazon – images, specs and price in toll Posted: 10 Oct 2020 07:30 PM PDT This is a bit of an odd situation, but not a unique one on the modern smartphone scene. In what is technically a "leak", a still unannounced Oppo A53s can now be found on Amazon DE. The listing includes a basic set of specs, pretty detailed images of the device, as well as a pre-order price of €189 and an official release date of October 13. In any other scenario, this would be a very interesting and bountiful leak. However, as listed, this Oppo A53s seems to absolutely identical to the regular Oppo A53, which was launched late last month in India. So, we can assume that either the... |

Samsung Galaxy M02 and A02 pop-up in certification listing Posted: 10 Oct 2020 03:30 PM PDT We won't pretend like we know exactly what Samsung is doing or really planning with recent Galaxy "0X" devices. We know that these tend to span both the Galaxy A and Galaxy M lines, sometimes feature an "s" or Core modifier and are often re-brands of the same basic or very similar hardware, meant for different markets. This is believed to be the regular Realme Q2. As per the benchmark run, it will be based on the MediaTek... |

Nokia 215 4G and 225 4G banners While we are still a bit short on some of the more technical particulars, we are also fairly certain that most prospective buyers of these devices won't care too much about resolution or chipset specs.
