iPhone 12 launch date revealed, Macs with Apple chips coming in October Posted: 25 Jul 2020 07:00 AM PDT According to a reputable tipster on Apple-related stuff, the company is going to unveil the iPhone 12 family on September 8 and the Apple Watch Series 6 will tag along as well. Additionally, the leakster suggests that new iPad Pro, the rumored Apple Glass and MacBooks with Apple's in-house chips will make an appearance on October 27. Although nothing is confirmed, we tend to believe the rumor given Apple's choice of dates in the past. Last year, the iPhone 11 family came to be on September 10, Tuesday and this year's September 8 is on Tuesday as well. Apple likes to keep things on...

But separate reports later claimed the M51 will pack a 64MP quad camera setup on the back, and the folks over at SamMobile now claim that the 64MP primary camera will be joined by a 12MP ultrawide unit. The purpose of the other two modules is currently unknown. Samsung Galaxy M51 leaked renders There's no word from Samsung about the Galaxy M51 yet, but a Samsung device sporting model code SM-M515F and believed to be the M51 passed through Geekbench last month, revealing... |

Oppo A72 5G goes official with Dimensity 720 SoC and 6.5" 90Hz screen Posted: 25 Jul 2020 12:55 AM PDT After announcing the A72 back in April Oppo today unveiled its 5G model, dubbed Oppo A72 5G. But this isn't just an A72 supporting next-gen networks. We are looking at many differences between the 4G and 5G variants. For starters, the A72 5G is powered by the freshly announced Dimensity 720 SoC while the 4G model has a Snapdragon 665 chipset under the hood. Both smartphones pack 6.5" FullHD+ LCDs, but the A72 5G comes with a 90Hz panel as opposed to the non-5G variant's 60Hz screen. While the network connectivity and screen are upgraded, the camera department gets a downgrade. The...
OnePlus Nord gets yet another pre-release update, with July security patch Posted: 24 Jul 2020 09:48 PM PDT It's not unusual to see phone makers prepare day one software updates for their new phones, which will be waiting to be installed once the first customers take them out of the box. And yet, OnePlus has really outdone itself with the Nord. The handset, which got announced earlier this week but will only go on sale in early August, is now already receiving its second software update. This is OxygenOS 10.5.2, and it brings with it the July security patches. Additionally, the recently unveiled OnePlus Buds get an easier pairing system when used with the Nord, and for India Dailyhunt supports...
You can now reserve a Galaxy Note20 in the US to get a $50 gift Posted: 24 Jul 2020 07:53 PM PDT Samsung has started taking reservations for "the next Galaxy" through its official US site, and we all know that means the Note20 and Note 20 Ultra. It's important to keep in mind that a reservation is not the same thing as a pre-order. In fact, if you reserve, you will "enjoy private access to pre-order the next Galaxy", according to Samsung's wording. This seems to imply that there will be a pre-pre-order period, just for the people who went through the reservation process. Additionally, if you reserve you will receive a $50 instant credit when you complete your pre-order. Samsung...

Galaxy Note20 Ultra may lose the 48 MP sensor in the zoom cam, 108 MP gets no upgrades Posted: 24 Jul 2020 03:37 PM PDT It's day 3 of major Note20 leaks and this one will be met with some disappointment. Leakster @rquandt has tweeted a detailed description of the cameras on Samsung's upcoming flagships. The hardware is based on the S20 family, but with some downgrades (you read that right downgrades). The Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra will get S20 Ultra's large 1/1.33" sensor with 108 MP resolution unchanged. 8K video recording remains capped at 24 fps even though S865-powered phones are already doing 8K at 30 fps (Europe is still getting an Exynos chip, by the way). Also, while some reports claimed it will...
GSMArena labs: 3D models let you examine the phones like never before, courtesy of Binkies 3D Posted: 24 Jul 2020 11:04 AM PDT Helping you select the perfect phone is what we strive to do here at GSMArena. And despite the convergence brought upon us by the touchscreen revolution, design is still a big part of that. There are so many peculiarities that are hard to convey through a static photo and even on video. How curved is the screen? The back? How thick is the camera hump? How are the buttons positioned? And so on and so on. In the past, you could walk into a store and examine the phone yourself. Today, that's not always possible – even before the pandemic, much of the shopping had transitioned from...
