MediaTek to unveil a new affordable 5G chipset next week

MediaTek has sent out invites for a May 7 event that will bring a new 5G chipset into the world. And since the tagline is "5G all-inclusive", this will likely be a mid-range offering. The company already has the Dimensity 800 in the mid-range 5G segment as well as the Dimensity 1000 and 1000L for the more premium phones. So, what could it be? The Redmi 10X which is expected to be the Chinese variant of the upcoming Redmi Note 9 just got certified by the BIS agency in India. The device appeared with the same M2003J15SI model number as before when it was spotted on China's TENAA agency and a listing in the China Telecom database.
