| New Motorola Razr 2019 renders show upcoming gold color Posted: 05 Feb 2020 08:07 AM PST Announced back in November, and expected to start shipping tomorrow, Motorola's Razr 2019 is deservedly attracting a lot of attention. Up until now, we've only seen the Noir Black colorway of the clamshell foldable but a new tweet from Evleaks is giving us our first look at an upcoming gold version. The actual color is an Interesting mix between gold and light copper and it appears to cover just the bottom half of the device. Back in 2006 Motorola partnered with Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana for a limited edition gold Razr V3i so we might get a similar exclusive partnership... |

The company earned a few design awards too for the the Pixel 3a and 3a XL and even accessories like Pixel 4 cases. The Nest Mini speaker scored a design award as well. Samsung's entire 2019 Galaxy A-series got an award in the Product category, the Galaxy A80 and Galaxy A8s were singled out specifically.... |

It already introduced the Realme X2 Pro in the capital Madrid in the middle of October. This time we also... |
| OnePlus design patent shows hidden cameras with a rotating cover Posted: 05 Feb 2020 05:42 AM PST OnePlus demonstrated the "disappearing camera" feature on its Concept One. Now a design patent filed with the WIPO Global Design Database shows how future devices might utilize a similar feature. They show a circular camera, similar to the OnePlus 7T. This doesn't appear to be dimmable glass like on the concept, but instead a rotating camera cover. Check out the designs below, the top row shows the "closed" state, the bottom row shows the camera cover "opened". It's not clear if the opening and closing of the cover is automatic or manual. Four different designs: top row shows... |

The short teaser shows the battery pack will come with a matte black finish with a woodgrain effect on the sides. We also get a peek at the Redmi branding and what is likely power indication button but that's about all there is for now. As far as a launch date we didn't get any info as the video ends with a "coming soon" sign. Smooth, suave, POWERFUL! ⚡#Power has a new look. 🤩 Coming soon on @RedmiIndia #MorePowerToRedmi! | Samsung refreshes "Over the Horizon" ringtone ahead of Galaxy S20 launch Posted: 05 Feb 2020 04:02 AM PST In keeping up with its tradition, Samsung released its latest remix of the signature "Over the Horizon" ringtone just ahead of next week's Galaxy S20 announcement. After last year's classical crossover, this time Samsung took inspiration from nature for its acoustic cover with a relaxing blend of monochords placed in a forest landscape. The new ringtone captures the subtle sounds of running water and chirping birds through the lush forest landscape. The actual tune starts at the 47-second mark and continues for another 3 minutes. The sound is accompanied by soothing shots of grasslands and... |
| Redmi K30 Pro to have a 4,700 mAh battery and 33W fast charging Posted: 05 Feb 2020 03:14 AM PST The Redmi K30 is available in Xiaomi's home market and it just hit India as the Poco X2. We expect a Pro variant to arrive as early as this month and we not got another detail about it. Previous rumors suggested an IMX686 64MP sensor, and now the same leakster revealed the device will have a 4,700 mAh battery with 33W fast-charging. The Redmi K30 Pro will be a massive improvement over its vanilla and 5G non-Pro siblings - it will be powered by Snapdragon 865 with 8GB RAM. We expect the phone to have the same body as the Redmi K30, which means a bit more weight since the... |

| Motorola Razr fully torn down on video, virtually impossible to repair Posted: 05 Feb 2020 01:10 AM PST A full disassembly video of the newly released Motorola Razr has arrived and unsurprisingly it's not great news. The foldable screen phone is next to impossible to repair on your own. The video gets right to the point and begins by heating up the rear of the lower half of the phone. This comes out along with the lower cover, which includes the fingerprint sensor, which needs to be unplugged. Now some screws can be removed from the lower panel, which detaches the lower antenna assembly along with the loudspeaker. Next up, the battery comes out, its connector being held by a plastic... |
| Live image of Galaxy S20 Ultra reveals camera setup, Galaxy S20+ pictured too Posted: 05 Feb 2020 12:21 AM PST Samsung is having an event next week where we'll see the Galaxy S20 lineup in the flesh (or rather stainless steel). Yet six days ahead of the launch we already have the first live images of the Galaxy S20 Ultra and S20+ - and they are exactly as the previous leaks pictured it. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will have a huge rectangle on the back, almost half as wide as the phone itself, where we see a periscope shooter, accompanied by three more snappers, a microphone, an LED flash and another sensor under the protective glass. If we trust the rumors so far, we are looking at a... |

Now its Romanian branch has confirmed that the company's upcoming foldable phone will be called Galaxy Z Flip. Samsung Romania has set up a page on its official website for the Galaxy Z Flip's protective leather case and confirmed the name of the foldable smartphone. The page doesn't reveal any details about the Galaxy Z Flip, but thanks to previous leaks, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect from this smartphone. The Galaxy Z Flip will arrive with a Snapdragon 855+ SoC. It will boot... |

| LG and ZTE will skip MWC because of the Coronavirus outbreak Posted: 04 Feb 2020 08:42 PM PST The novel Coronavirus outbreak has so far impacted manufacturing facilities in China, but as the number of infected people keeps rising across the world, we should probably brace ourselves for even more disruption in the mobile space. Case in point: both LG and ZTE have announced today that they're going to skip Mobile World Congress, the biggest yearly showcase in the field, which is taking place in Barcelona, Spain at the end of this month. A ZTE spokesperson confirmed to us that it's cancelling its MWC press conference, citing secondary effects of the virus outbreak, as well as... |
| Samsung confirms Galaxy S20 naming through official website slip-up Posted: 04 Feb 2020 06:33 PM PST Leaks about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra are pretty much everywhere at this point, but it's always something special when the manufacturer itself decides to chime in. This is not one of those stories where transparency was intentional, mind you. Instead, someone overseeing Samsung's German website slipped up and so for a short while an official listing for the upcoming LED case for the S20 went up and was live for everyone to see. It's obviously been taken down now, but the enterprising folks over at WinFuture managed to grab the screenshots below as... |

| LG will only sell premium 5G flagships in NA and Europe, move mid-rangers production to ODMs Posted: 04 Feb 2020 12:12 PM PST LG's mobile division is bleeding money, but the company has plans for a turnaround in the 2020-2021 period. The core of the new strategy is to focus high-end phones where they will be best received and move the production of entry-level and mid-range handsets to ODMs. The LG V60 ThinQ and other premium flagships will only be available in the North American and European markets where customers don't shy away from high price tags. For its home turf, LG will promote the more affordable "mass premium" smartphones with 5G as the South Korean market is more price sensitive. Presumably, this... |

| The nubia Red Magic 5G will not support 80W fast charging after all Posted: 04 Feb 2020 10:01 AM PST It seems that the 80W fast charging that President Ni Fei teased for the nubia Red Magic 5G isn't happening. Fei's latest post asks people which they prefer "100W + 4,000mAh, 55W + 4,500mAh or 30W + 5,000mAh", no mention of 80W. We think that 55W will be the phone's real charging speed. The Red Magic 3 and 3s charge at just 18W (with a 5,000mAh battery), so even 30W would be an upgrade. And the tech isn't ready for 100W. But more importantly, we already saw a 3C certification for a 55W charger. nubia is teasing a Snapdragon 865-powered 5G phone, wonder what could it be? Anyway,... |
