We're splitting this into two parts, starting with the premium models, the best of the best. We've split off the 5G phones into their own poll as the next generation networks are still very new and most carriers around the world are still running trials. But 5G is the future and future-proofing is the mark of a true flagship. So, mere weeks before unveiling it, he decided to swap the plastic cover of the screen for chemically-strengthened glass. Plastic was the standard back in the day, it had done a good job for years. But that wasn't good enough for Steve Jobs. His decision changed the mobile landscape and made Gorilla Glass the standard. It is produced by Corning, which has a long history in specialty glass. | Weekly poll results: iPadOS loved, iOS 13 splits opinions Posted: 15 Jun 2019 08:00 PM PDT  The improvements brought by iOS 13 are welcomed by many, last week's poll shows. Sure, Android users are feeling ahead of the curve on some of those features, but keep in mind this update will land on the iPhone 6s which will be four years old at that point. Of course, iOS 13 is geared more towards what modern iPhones need - dark mode does more for OLED than LCD, FaceID was improved (but that doesn't help TouchID) and so on. | Posted: 15 Jun 2019 04:00 PM PDT  It's been just a little over three months since the launch of Realme 3, but it seems the company is planning to launch its successor soon as an alleged retail box of the Realme 4 appeared in a YouTube video. The box that we are looking at has the number '4' and Realme branding on it in yellow color, and it actually seems legit. But there's no way we can be sure of its authenticity. | Huawei Mate 30 Pro to come with a 90Hz display as renders surface Posted: 15 Jun 2019 01:30 PM PDT  Early specs of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro surfaced last month including the 6.71-inch AMOLED display. And, according to the information coming out of China, this screen will have a refresh rate of 90Hz - like the OnePlus 7 Pro. Meanwhile alleged renders of the Mate 30 Pro surface, revealing a phone with a curved edges of its display and with a punch hole in the upper-left corner to accommodate two cameras. | OnePlus 6/6T get Android Q Developer Preview 2 Posted: 15 Jun 2019 11:00 AM PDT  OnePlus recently rolled out the Android Pie-based OxygenOS Open Beta updates for the OnePlus 6 and 6T which came with Digital Wellbeing, Fnatic Mode, and June 2019 security patch. Now, OnePlus has released the second developer preview of Android Q for these 2018 smartphones. We are turning 19 years old today and we are proud to share this moment with you. In the past 12 months we managed to launch an official Instagram account and an official Android application, which is currently in Beta, but is rapidly heading towards a release. In fact as an early present to you we finally brought Dark Mode to it - that was easily the most requested feature since the open Beta started.
